Born in King William’s Town, Eastern Cape, South Africa, she pursued her education at UCT and successfully attained a Performers Diploma in Speech and Drama.

Msutwana initiated her acting journey during her university days, gracing productions like King Lear, The Suit, Brink, and Trojan Women.
Her professional acting debut commenced in 2007 with a prominent role on SABC 1’s drama series, Society. Portraying Akua Yenana, a stockbroker turned lady of leisure, she remained a central figure until the show’s conclusion in 2010.
In 2009, she took center stage as the bride, Ayanda, in the film White Wedding, sharing the spotlight with Kenneth Nkosi as the groom and Rapulana Seiphemo as the best man.
