Early Life, Childhood and Education
Bella Ebinum was born into a Jehovah’s Witness family. She came from a religious family and was raised in a strict household where her mom was a preacher. Bella is from a well-to-do family as her father was an accountant in shell while her mother was a nurse.
Bella Ebinum first expressed an interest in acting when she was a teenager. She completed both her primary and secondary school education at Cambridge International School in Warri, Delta State, earning both her First School Leaving Certificate and her West African Senior School Certificate. She was active in drama, stage play, and performing arts while still in secondary school.
Bella Ebinum attended the University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Nigeria’s southernmost state after finishing primary and secondary school, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics in 2013.
Bella Ebinum enrolled in the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) after finishing her university education and graduated from NYSC in 2015.
Ebinum was active in drama, stage plays, and theatre arts during her secondary school years. She had a desire to be an actress since she was a child, and she worked hard enough to earn her spot.
She began auditioning for roles in the Nigerian film industry, also known as Nollywood, in 2014. Elo Obokia, a friend of hers who is a producer, introduced her to the industry. Elo Obokia asked Bella to come over to Asaba, there Bella was introduced to Elo’s film director by Elo herself.
During her early days, she was able to land minor roles until she was groomed enough to play a supporting role. She has worked with popular Nollywood actors and actresses such as Zubby Michael, Ken Erics, Yul Edochie, Chizzy Alichi, Charles Inojie, Ngozi Ezeonu, and others.
