Early Life and Education
Barbara Palvin was born on October 8, 1993. She was born in Albertirsa (Budapest), Hungary into a Christian family of Hungarian descent.
Barbara grew up in Budapest with her grandmother. She was a lively child who enjoyed singing and football. Barbara was only 13 when she was discovered by a talent agent.
Barbara began her education at Budapest’s Erkel Ferenc Primary School. She attended Szinyei Merse Pál High School in Budapest after finishing elementary school. She then became a model and was unable to attend college.
Details about her parents has not been disclosed but she has an elder sister whose name is Anita Palvin.
Career
She did her first editorial photo shoot for Spur magazine in 2006.
She relocated to Asia, specifically Japan, where she quickly achieved modeling success. She did, however, return to the European market to establish herself.
She quickly appeared on the cover of popular fashion magazines, including French L’Officiel in February 2010 and Russian L’Officiel and Jalouse in March and April, respectively.
In February 2010, she made her runway debut for the prestigious brand Prada during Milan Fashion Week. At the age of 19, she was chosen as a Victoria’s Secret Angel and modeled at the lingerie brand’s fashion show in 2012.
She made a stunning appearance as one of L’Oreal Paris’ spokesmodels at the 2013 Golden Globes Awards. For the Fall 2013 campaign, she was named the new face of Gas Jeans.
