Ana Maria Marković, born November 9, 1999, is a Croatian footballer who plays as a forward for the Croatian women national team as well as the Swiss Women’s Super League club, Grasshopper Marković is of Croatian descent from her mother’s side, who comes from Split. Marković was born in Split, and moved with her family to Switzerland when she was 12 years old, growing up in Zürich.

Early Life and Career
Markovic began playing football in Switzerland when she was 14 years old, stating that she was inspired by the growth of women’s football.
She featured for FC Zurich Frauen U21 in Switzerland for three seasons where she scored 7 goals from 26 appearances before making the move to Grasshopper.
Over two seasons with Grasshopper, the star clocked up 55 appearances, finding the back of the net 15 times.
Having caught the eye of the Croatian Football Federation while playing for Grasshopper in Switzerland, Marković was called up to play for the Croatia national team.
She scored a goal in the 4 – 0 thrashing of Moldova by Croatia in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification played on 30 November 2021 at Stadion Aldo Drosina, Pula, Croatia.
However, don’t expect to see Markovic at Euro 2022 in England this summer, with Croatia failing to qualify for the major tournament.
