Yinka Quadri, hailing from Igbomina-Owomeje, Kwara State, was born into a middle-class family in September 1959 on Lagos Island, Lagos State.
His educational journey led him through St. Catholic School, Idumagbo, Lagos, for primary education, and Christ High School, Ebute Elefun, Lagos, for his secondary education.
Career
Yinka, also recognized as Fagbamila, embarked on his acting journey in 1976 when he, alongside Taiwo Olayinka and a group of friends, established the Afopina Theatre Group after leaving school.
His prolific career has seen him feature in over 90 Yoruba films, tracing back to his debut television series titled Agbodorogun. On April 27, 2014, Yinka marked the launch of his biography, “Yinka Quadri: Scent of a Legend,” commemorating 36 years in the Nigerian film industry.
