Early Life and Education
Wizard Chan was born on June 26, in Okrika, Rivers State, as the youngest of five children to Chief and Mrs. Fuayefika.
He hails from Port Harcourt where he spent the majority of his formative years and had his early education.
Completing his secondary education at De World International Secondary School in Rivers State, he furthered his studies in Marketing at Wisconsin International University College in Accra, Ghana.
After graduating, he returned to Nigeria and completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Sokoto.
Career
Maxwell’s journey in music began during his childhood, where he discovered his passion for songwriting.
As a member of the choir, he recorded his first unofficial song in December 2011 following his secondary education.
Over time, he honed his skills by creating covers of popular songs and sharing them on social media platforms.In 2020, Maxwell officially launched his music career with the release of his debut single, ‘Halo Halo’.
Subsequently, in October 2020, he followed up with another single titled ‘Truth’. However, it wasn’t until December 2022 that he garnered significant attention with the release of ‘Earth Song’.
This track propelled him into the spotlight, earning him widespread recognition and securing a place among the Top 20 Songs in Nigeria on Apple Music.
In March 2024, Wizard Chan release an Extended Playlist (EP) which is consist of eight tracks including hit single titled Loner alongside Joeboy.
