Samuel Oguachuba, popularly known as Samklef, was born on February 5, 1985. He is an Afrobeats leader as a music producer and recording artist. The Igbo boy who hails from Imo State was born in Lagos, the city where he has spent his childhood and adulthood. This music producer is also a top-notch disc jockey in the industry.
Samklef has spent most of his young age in Lagos as his father was a military officer which made his family to reside in the Airforce Base, PWD, Ikeja.
This sensational music producer is popular for producing several hit songs for Wizkid, Sunny Neji, Ruggedman, Durella, Skales, D’Prince, and many others. This DJ and recording artist released his debut album in 2010 titled “Noni,” and the international version of the album, which was released in 2011, was titled “Nonilizing.”
Apart from making music, he also has a passion for filmmaking as he has written and produced a couple of short films, as well as having stints with entertainment firms such as Sound Factory, Mind Falls, Exp & i360, and Flow Records.
He is currently based in the United States, where he is also pursuing a career as a filmmaker. He came to the limelight due to his collaboration with Wizkid in the early days of Starboy’s music career. He was involved in the production of Wizkid’s album ‘Superstar’

Early Life and Education
The world-class producer was born and brought up in the city of Lagos by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oguachuba.
He spent his early years in the barracks as his father was a military officer, residing at Air Force Base, PWD, Ikeja.
His family moved from the Airforce base to Iju from where they switched residence to an apartment in Maroko, before moving to Allen Avenue.
The music producer has graduates working for him though he disclosed that he never had a tertiary education but having his primary and secondary education in public schools in Lagos. He termed this as division of labour.
Samklef apart from producing songs for top artists in the Nigerian music industry, is also a singer. He released his debut album “NONI” in 2010 and later repackaged it as “NONILIZING” in January 2011.
During his childhood and teenage years, Samklef was fascinated by music, spending hours listening to songs by Nigerian and foreign artists.
This impure passion for music made him start a career as a disc jockey, a skill he learned from an older friend, and then begin to work as a DJ in Lagos.
He started by performing at parties in his community before moving to perform at top events and shows in the city.
Having enjoyed the beats from the music he plays at events, he switched to sound production. After learning how to produce music beats, he became good at the skill in a couple of months.
He began to seek out upcoming artists that he could collaborate with. This was how he met with Wizkid, which happens to be one of Nigeria’s music icons.
The story of Wizkid‘s success in the music industry cannot be complete without mentioning Samklef‘s name. The producer is responsible for producing the beats of hit songs such as Tease Me, Don’t Dull, and Pakuromo.
Samklef have worked with other popular international and Nigerian musicians like Timberland, Kanye West, Don Jazzy, Tuface, Sunny Neji, Ruggedman, Durella, Skales, D’Prince (Mo’ Hits), Simisola, J Bryte, Emmsong, O’cube, Jahdiel, Vector, Mudina, and many others.

Samklef is married to Yvonne Iheduru. He married his wife when he was twenty-five years old. He migrated to the United States of America a few years back, searching for greener pastures. In 2021, he bought a new house, where he currently resides with his family.
