Kamala Harris born on October 20, 1964 in Oakland, California to Donald Harris and Shyamala Gopalan.
Her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, was a Tamil Indian biologist, her father, Donald J. Harris, is of African and Irish ancestry. He is a Stanford University professor of economics (emeritus).
Donald Harris met his future wife at the college club for African-American students but Gopalan was allowed to Joined.
