She grew up with the aim of becoming an Aeronautic Engineer.
While at age 11, she had lived in poverty for a while when her parents separated though she was born into wealth.
She and her siblings lived with their mum, and life became so difficult that they found it difficult to make a living. They consumed garri for seven months consecutively.
She catered for herself and her family by going to the farm. She would harvest vegetables and sell to make money.
Along the line, she joined an aerobics class at the National Stadium in order to lose weight and was always regular and punctual. This prompted her aerobics teacher to appoint her to lead the class whenever she was unavailable.
Being a dancer, she infused dancing into aerobics and the class loved it, always wanting her to lead whenever the teacher was absent. She got promoted and began to train athletes. During one of my weekends at the National Stadium for dance rehearsals and workouts, she was approached by a promoter for a modeling job.
Part of the modeling activity was choreography. Even though she didn’t want to do the choreography at first, she later agreed and asked the promoter to allow her to do a solo performance. Unknown to her, many artistes were present at the event and loved her performance. This began the beginning of her career.
Kaffy’s dancing career started off after she went on stage to perform in an event that she was invited by one of her admirers during her dance rehearsals and workout sessions at the National Stadium during weekends.
In 2006, Kaffy led her dance group that danced for 55hours and 40minutes to break the Guinness Book of Record for “Longest Dance Party”.
She is currently a dance instructor who has developed innovative visualisation-based methods for teaching dance and dance fitness in an accelerated-learning format.
