Debie-Rise rose to prominence after appearing on one of the most intriguing talent shows for promising music stars in Nigeria, Nigerian Idol, in 2013, where she finished as the 1st Runner-Up. Oluwarise Deborah Ebun, a renowned Nigerian reality TV star, songwriter, musician, singer, and ex-Big Brother Nigeria (BBN) housemate, is popularly known as BBNaija’s season 2 housemate. This professional guitarist was born on December 20th, 1992, to the lovely family of Pastor and Mrs. Ebun, natives of Kaduna State.
She was born in her hometown of Kaduna State, Nigeria’s northernmost state. Debie was raised in Kaduna as a Northerner by region, a Nigerian by nationality, and a Christian by faith.
Debie-Rise received her education at the Federal University of Technology, Yola, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
Notably, she graduated with a major in graphics design and a minor in Web application development. As a result, she is a computer scientist, graphic designer, and web developer.

BBN Season 2
The singer competed in the 2017 season of Big Brother Naija, a reality television show. She entered the Big Brother mansion a week after the show had begun, spending 70 days in the house out of the total 77 days.
During her stay in the Big Bother House, she was nominated six (6) times for possible evictions (weeks 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 11), and she made it to the final week as one of the five finalists, of which she eventually came out 4th.
According to her confession, she had to flee her home in order to be a part of the show. She took part in the reality TV show against the wish of her father, who was a pastor at the time, and he was protective and concerned about the family’s future.

In 2013, the singer finished first runner-up in the popular Nigerian singing competition, Nigerian Idol. Her fans came from all over Nigeria as a result of the competition. Nigerians adored her exciting and melodic voice.
