Blossom Chukwujekwu Biography:
Blossom Chukwujekwu, an award-winning Nollywood actor, was born in Benin City on November 4, 1983. He is the first of two sons from Otolo, Nnewi North in Anambra State.
Blossom debuted as a professional actor in 2009. In 2015, he was named Best Supporting Actor at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
Blossom Chukwujekwu is now known as Nollywood’s newest iconic and bankable leading man.
His ground-breaking movie, Flower Girl, had its world debut to critical acclaim and financial success in Nigeria, Ghana, the United Kingdom, as well as film festivals in the US and Canada.
Finding Mercy, Blossom’s next blockbuster feature film, was one of the most anticipated and successful films of 2013. It was the African International Film Festival’s closing film (AFRIFF 2013).
Blossom’s next film, Knocking on Heaven’s Door, was released in theaters nationwide on April 18, 2014.

Early Life and Education
Blossom was born on November 4, 1983 in Benin City, Edo State to Dr I.E and Evangelist J.C Chukwujekwu, and holds a Bsc. in Mass Communication from Benson Idahosa University (BIU).
He had already started the course at Anambra State University of Science and Technology where he spent a year before completion at BIU.
During his time at BIU, he served as President of the Association of Mass Communication Students (AMCOS) in the 2007/2008 academic year.
He was also a member of the popular House of Theatre (H.O.T), where he played the lead in Godless: The Path to Dawn, the University’s most successful theatre production to date.
Blossom claims that playing Ukemu in Godless was his epiphany.
He moved to Lagos, Nigeria a few months after graduating to fulfill his National Youth Service Corps obligations. Blossom stayed back in Lagos to pursue his acting ambitions.
After several auditions, Chukwujekwu landed the lead role in the yet-to-be-released Nigerian soap opera, Portrait Of Passion, in 2009, after several auditions.
He was cast in his first feature film, Vivian Ejike’s Private Storm, alongside Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Ramsey Nouah, the same year.
Blossom was featured as one of the top five actors to watch in 2013 on Africa Magic’s Nollywood show, Jara. He ranked fourth on Charles Novia’s list of the best actors in Nollywood in 2013.
Chukwujekwu’s breakthrough film was Flower Girl, which he landed in 2012. It was a critical and commercial success in Nigeria, Ghana, the United Kingdom, and film festivals in the United States and Canada when it was released in 2013.
Finding Mercy was Chukwujekwu’s next blockbuster feature film and it was one of the most anticipated and successful films of 2013.
It was screened as the final film at the African International Film Festival (AFRIFF 2013). Knocking on Heaven’s Door was released in theaters nationwide on April 18, 2014.
Chukwujekwu won the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice 2015 Best Supporting Actor award for his portrayal of the abusive and emotionally volatile “Moses.”

Blossom married his lovely wife, Maureen Esisi, on the 19th of December 2015, and the marriage was blessed with beautiful children.
They left fans and the entertainment industry in shock after their marriage crashed in 2019.
In 2022, Nollywood actor Blossom Chukwujekwu found love again in Winifred Akhuemokhan, three years after his first marriage with Maureen Esisi crashed over infidelity.
They had their traditional marriage on May 20th, 2022 and then had their church wedding ceremony on Friday June 17, 2022 at the Believer’s Love World aka Christ Embassy Church in an occasion which was graced and flooded by lots of Nollywood stars.
Winfred Akhuemokhan is a niece to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome the Senior Pastor of Christ Embassy Church.
