Alex Morgan is a talented American footballer who plays for the USWNT (US Women’s National Team) and has won a gold medal at the Olympics in 2012 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup with her team in 2015.

Baby Horse as she is nicknamed, began her soccer career with ‘Cypress Elite,’ and later played for ‘California Golden Bears’ during her college studies. She was drafted first overall by the ‘Western New York Flash’ in the 2011 WPS Draft and went on to help the team win the league championship.

Alexandra Patricia Morgan Carrasco was born on July 2, 1989, in San Dimas, California, to Michael T. Morgan and Pamela S. Morgan. She grew up in Diamond Bar with her two older sisters, Jeni and Jeri.

She was a multisport athlete in her childhood, attending ‘Diamond Bar High School,’ where she demonstrated speed and sprinting potential and was named to the all-league team three times. She was named an All-American by the ‘National Soccer Coaches Association of America.’

She made her international debut at the 2008 CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship in Puebla, Mexico, scoring her first international goal against Cuba.

Her debut as a senior national team player came in March 2010, when she came on as a substitute against Mexico. Her first international goal came as a substitute against China in October of that year.
