She is well-known for her roles in Nigerian Nollywood blockbusters such as Eto, Obinrin, and Ajewumi. Wunmi Toriola first appeared in the film “Isese Lagba,” which was produced by Tawa Ajisefini. Isese Lagba was the movie that brought the beautiful Yoruba actress to the limelight.

Early Life and Education
Wunmi Toriola was born on July 11, 1988, in Lagos State, Nigeria, to Mr. and Mrs. Toriola. The actress was born into a family of four children, lost her mother when she was young, and grew up with her father.
She attended primary and secondary schools in Lagos and is from Ogun State, Nigeria.
Wunmi earned a degree in linguistics from the University of Ilorin, as well as a diploma in theater arts from Odunfa Caucus, a Yoruba theatre group formed by industry veterans such as Yinka Quadri and Taiwo Hassan, among others.
Career
Olawunmi Toriola began her career in the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, in 2009 at Odunfa Caucus.
Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo), Sunny Ali, Yinka Quadri, Razak Ajao, and Abbey Lanre founded the Yoruba theater group “Odunfa Caucus.”
Wunmi Toriola has been in the Nigerian film industry for over a decade, winning the “Fastest Rising Actress (Yoruba)” award at the City People Awards in 2018.

On May 13, 2018, Wunmi Toriola married a man from the United States whom she met on Facebook. Her husband’s name is unknown to the public; the couple welcomed their first child, Zion, in December 2019.
While she was still nurturing the pregnancy of their son Zion, rumors spread that her marriage had ended. This began after she deleted all of her husband’s photos from her social media accounts a few weeks after the birth of their son, and she denied the reports, claiming they were deleted on purpose.
Another controversy erupted when she was accused of assaulting her maid and abandoning her on the side of the road after forcing her to sign an undertaking in a police station.
Wunmi Toriola’s maid, Motunrayo Azeez, claims that the actress’s husband also summoned a soldier to beat her up in their home after accusing her of drugging her son.
She and actress Toyin Abraham were friends, but their friendship soured when she advised Toyin to reconcile with her ex-husband, Adeniyi Johnson. The two stars have since apologized and are now on good terms.
