Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, was born on 31 October 1959 in Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria. Hailing from a lineage of twins, his father and grandfather were both twins. Ogogo’s primary education was at Christ Church School in Ilaro.
Despite starting secondary education at Gazikia College in Lagos, financial constraints hindered completion. Subsequently, he pursued technical education and spent around 13 years working as an automobile mechanic at the water corporation.
Career
Ogogo embarked on his acting journey in 1981 while simultaneously working as a mechanic. In 1994, he made the significant decision to leave his position at the water corporation to fully dedicate himself to acting.
With a career spanning more than four decades, Ogogo has graced over 100 movies, earning awards and garnering numerous nominations.
