Professor Kayode Oyebode Adebowale FRSC, born January 11, 1962, is a Nigerian scientist and the 13th Vice-chancellor of the University of Ibadan.
In October 2021, Adebowale became the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, having formerly served as the deputy vice-chancellor (administration) in the same University.
He also previously served as the dean of the faculty of science in same institution.
Early Life and Education
Professor Kayode Adebowale was born in Ibadan, Oyo State where he grew up with his parents and siblings.
He had his primary and secondary education in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria before he decided to further to higher institution.
Adebowale got admitted into the University of Ibadan where he graduated with bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry.
He also had his master’s degree and PhD in the same institution.
Prior to becoming the Vice-chancellor of the prestigious University of Ibadan, Kayode Adebowale was the deputy vice-chancellor (administration) in the same institution.
The professor also served as the dean of the faculty of science in the University of Ibadan, Oyo State.
