Early Life And Education
Morfydd Clark was born on the 17th day of March 1990 to her parents in Sweden, and when she was two, her parents moved to Penarth, Wales, where she grew up.
Her father is a Northern Irish-Glaswegian, and her mother is from North Wales. Her parents speak English, and her maternal grandparents were Welsh speakers.
She speaks both English and Welsh, which enables her to enroll in a Welsh language school.
Before she was trained at the Drama Centre London, she was accepted to the British Youth Music Theatre’s Production and to the National Youth Theatre Of Wales.
Her first acting role was as Mrs. Dai Bread in a school production of Under Milk Wood.
She left school when she was sixteen, but she later went to the Kings Monkton School in Cardiff to complete her A levels in English and Mathematics in 2009.
Career
Clark served in Drama Centre and she left them in her final term to star in Saunders Lewis, in which she played Blodeuwedd with Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru
She has acted in violence and son at the Royal Court as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, and in Les Liaisons Dangereuses at the Donmar Warehouse.
She also starred in Federica Vernon Stillman’s film in 2016.
Morfydd has appeared in films such as The Call Up, King Lear, The Man Who Invented Christmas, The Lord of the Rings (The Rings Of Power), and lots more.
Morfydd starred as Maud in the psychological horror film Saint Maud, for which, she was nominated for Best Actress of the 2020 British Independent Film Awards.
She won the BAFTA Cymru beat actress and the 2021 BAFTA Rising Star Award for her performance in Maud.
