Mbong Amata Grace was born in Aba, Abia state, Nigeria on September 21st, 1985 to parents from Akwa Ibom state.

Mbong grew up in Aba, where she had her primary education before enrolling for a secondary education at the Federal Government Girls College, Calabar, Cross River State. She showed traits of modeling even when she was very little.

She was crowned “Most Beautiful Girl” (Akwa Ibom) in 2003 and finished second in the 2004 Miss Nigeria pageant.

Jeta Amata met her at an audition in Calabar in 2001. They started dating two years later, when she was 18 years old. They married in 2008, and Veno was born the following year. They divorced in 2014 after splitting in 2013.

She has appeared in films such as Black November, Forgetting June, and Inale. Amata splits his time between Los Angeles and Lagos.

Sometime June last year, Jeta Amata came online to say that his ex-wife is missing. Mbong actually came online with a video in response to the claims by her estranged husband, that she is not missing but healthy and hearty. Mbong said that it’s a routine thing for her.
