Early Life and Education
Lil Uzi Vert was born in the Francisville area of North Philadelphia, United States of America.
He first bought Jones’ debut album because he grew up listening to him and the Ying Yang Twins. Later, Lil Uzi Vert started listening to Wiz Khalifa and Meek Mill, whose future styles affected him.
After hearing classmate William Aston freestyle over a remixed Chris Brown instrumental in the Lil Uzi Vert started rapping.
The rap group Steaktown was founded by Lil Uzi Vert, Aston, and another friend. The group disbanded when he was 17 years old.
He quit his job at a Bottom Dollar store after four days and was ejected from his mother’s house. Lil Uzi Vert dropped out of school and began working there shortly after.

When Lil Uzi Vert’s debut song, “Money Longer,” was released in 2016, which earned him widespread recognition.
Lil Uzi Vert’s followup mixtape Lil Uzi vs. the World (2016), which also featured the song “You Was Right,” as its lead single.
