Early Life, Childhood and Education
Kelly Ripa was born into a Catholic family on October 2, 1970, in Berlin, New Jersey, USA. Esther Ripa, a homemaker, and Joseph Ripa, a labor union president, are her parents. Esther, her younger sister, is a children’s book author.
She went to Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees Township, New Jersey, and then went on to study psychology at Camden County College before dropping out to pursue her acting career.
During her high school years she was a cheerleader and was encouraged by her drama teacher to pursue acting.

Career
Ripa’s career as a dancer began in 1986, when she appeared on Dancin’ On Air.
She made her acting debut as Hayley Vaughan in All My Children in 1990. She took over as co-host of Live! with Kelly, who replaced Kathie Lee Gifford.
She rose to prominence in 1996 for her role in Marvin’s Room, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep. She has also appeared in films and television shows such as Riverdale, The Stand In, American Housewives, Broad City, Hannah Montana, Family Guy, and many more.
Kelly Ripa and her husband run the production company, Milojo. The name “Milojo” was derived from the Initials of the names of their three children, Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.
She has collaborated with companies such as Pantene, Tide, 7 Up, and TD Bank. In 2008, she also worked with Ryka as a spokesperson for the brand’s footwear and sporting apparel.
