Honourable Azubogu Chris Chukwuemeka Ifeanyi, born December 24, 1968, better known as Hon Chris Azubogu, is Project Manager, IT Consultant, Agric Engineer, politician and lawmaker.
He was born and raised in Nnewi, Anambra State where he originally hails from.
Hon Chris Azubogu is currently serving a second term as a member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency.
Early Life and Education
Hon Chris Azubogu had his childhood in Nnewi, Anambra State where she hails from and had his early education.
He attended Umunnealam Primary School Umudun Nnewi, Anambra where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC).
Hon Chris Azubogu proceeded to Okongwu Memorial Grammar School Nnewi, Anambra State for his secondary education.
He got admitted into the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in 1985.
He participated in the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
Career
Hon Chris worked at Adarice Production and also Nigerian Oil Mills Kano from 1990 to 1991.
He also worked as a contractor with SPDC beginning which he started in 1998.
Hon Chris was elected into the Federal House of Representatives to represent Nnewi North/South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency of Anambra State, in 2011, under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
In 2015, he was re-elected into the House where he serves in the following committees; appropriations, interior, aids, loans & debt management, constituency outreach, agriculture, governmental affairs, and houses services/welfare.
