Gift Orban was observed by Thomas Finstad and Torgeir Bjarmann of Stabaek in Nigeria in November 2021 while playing in a showcase match. Following the expiration of his visa, he returned to Stabk to train over the winter of 2021–2022.
He returned to Norway and joined Stabk in late May 2022. The deal from Nigerian soccer team Bison FC was a loan with a purchase option.

In the second half, all the goals were scored. The very next day, on March 15, he defeated Istanbul Başakşehir 4-1 on the road in the 16th round of the UEFA Europa Conference League with a hat-trick in the first half.
The hat-trick was scored in three minutes and 25 seconds, shattering Mohammed Salah’s previous record of six minutes and 12 seconds established in the Champions League. This new record is for the fastest hat-trick in UEFA club tournaments.
