Early Life and Education
On February 7, 1991, Gabbie Hanna was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She is of Lebanese, French, and Polish ancestry and has six siblings.
In 2013, Hanna earned a degree in psychology and communications from the University of Pittsburgh.
She belonged to the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority while attending university. She worked for a marketing firm that sold goods out of a Sam’s Club after graduating from college and rose to the position of the company’s top salesperson in the United States.
Gabbie Hanna relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, to assist in the establishment of a new branch of the firm. But when she realized they were using a pyramid scam, she left.
Career
Late in 2013, Gabbie Hanna started posting skits on video platform Vine. She later became well-known for her activity on the app, where she amassed about five million followers few months after she started.
She created a YouTube channel in 2014 called The Gabbie Show, which she renamed Gabbie Hanna in the same year.
In 2015, Hanna and her dance partner Matt Steffanina took home the title of Dance Showdown’s fourth season. Hanna relocated to Los Angeles, California, after graduating from college to work for online media company BuzzFeed, but she soon quit to concentrate on her YouTube and Vine channels.
