Faithia Williams was born on February 5, 1971. Faithia, a Delta state native, was born into a nine-member polygamous family.

Faithia Balogun attended Maryland Primary School and Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School in Lagos.

She earned her West African School Certificate from Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School. She then pursued a diploma certificate at the Kwara State Polytechnic.

Fathia Balogun used to work as a general receptionist at Chips Bit & Bit, a computer company on Toyin Street in Ikeja, Lagos, earning N5,000 per month.

Fathia Balogun Williams though a successful actress, has never had a dream of becoming an actress.

Faithia at first dreamt of being a Lawyer but since she could not cope with the rigorous load for law students, she backed out.  

The actress stated that she was unable to fulfill her dreams due to her inability to pass the JAMB exams, and as a result of an extended stay at home, her father was forced to give her the freedom to do whatever she wanted.

She was fortunate to be featured by Alhaji Fatai Teniola after she was unable to meet her dreams. She has since become not only a well-known actress, but also a film producer and director.

Faithia became an actress by chance. Faithia’s uncle, Alhaji Fatai Teniola, asked her to stand in for an actress that failed to show up in one of the productions of their movie. Faithia performed very well and since then, she has been flying higher than expected.

Williams played her first role in the film title “Ta lo pa chief”.

Fathia Balogun Williams married her heartrob, Saidi Balogun, in the 1990s, and the couple had two children, Khalid Balogun and Aaliyah Balogun, a boy and a girl. Later, it was speculated that the couples had split up, but Fathia denied the rumors, insisting that they were still together.

Faithia Williams and Saidi Balogun ended their marriage in 2006 but officially divorced in 2014. Faithia, however, kept her husband’s surname till 2017 before changing it to her maiden name, Williams

To further complicate the rumor, on July 2019, Fathia Williams and her husband, Saidi Balogun acted closely together in a movie directed by Fathia Williams titled “The market place,” which further clarifies the rumor, and even as the couples are not together, they are still best of friends.
