Early Life and Education
Denzel Prempeh was born in Accra, in Ghana’s Greater Accra Region. He attended the University of Ghana, where his passion for music and ministry began to take shape.
During his university years, he joined the Chosen Vessel Choir and later became the musical director of the University’s Mass Choir. These experiences gave him a solid foundation in worship leadership and choral direction.
In 2006, he joined the Love Project Choir under the mentorship of the late Danny Nettey, a well-known Ghanaian gospel musician who became a major influence on his spiritual and musical journey.

Ministry and Music
Prempeh’s ministry career took off in 2010 when he founded HeartBeat Ministry and its music arm, HeartBeatMusic (HBM). Through this platform, he has released several live albums, EPs, and singles, creating worship experiences that focus on authentic encounters with God.
He previously served as a reverend minister at Destiny Chapel in Adenta, Accra, and continues to lead worship movements both locally through Touching God’s Heart and internationally through The Stirring in the USA.
Touching God’s Heart and Impact
The Touching God’s Heart (TGH) concert series, launched annually by Prempeh, has become a major event on Ghana’s gospel calendar. In June 2025, he hosted the 15th edition of the event, bringing together prominent gospel artists from Ghana and beyond. The program received the Best Event Management System award at the Shine Awards in 2017.
HeartBeat Foundation
In 2017, Prempeh established the HeartBeat Foundation, a charitable wing of HBM dedicated to supporting families of individuals living with cerebral palsy.
