Early Life and Education
He was 2-year-old when his father died, his mother is Cindy Breakspeare, Miss World 1976.
Damian derived his nickname “Junior Gong” from his father’s nickname of Tuff Gong.

Career
At the age of 13, Damian started singing and performing in shows. He released his debut album in 1996 with the backing of his father’s label Tuff Gong.
He won the 2006 Grammy Awards for the Best Reggae Album and Best Urban/Alternative Performance becoming the first Jamaican to win two Grammy Awards the same night.
Damian’s second album “Half Way Tree” was released in 2001 then his third album “Welcome to Jamrock” in 2005. On July 17, 2017, he released his fourth studio album “Stony Hill”.
