Early Life and Education
As the first child of her parents, Dakore Akande was born in Bayelsa State, South-South Nigeria.
She attended Federal Government Girls’ College and Corona School in Lagos and Bauchi respectively.
Due to strikes, she was forced to discontinue her study of mass communication at the University of Lagos.
Career
In a chapter titled Vivencias, which is Spanish for “Experiences,” Dakore made an appearance as the major feature in the Visual Collaborative web catalogue in September 2019.
Along with 30 other international participants, she was questioned alongside Kelli Ali, Adelaide Damoah, and Desdamona.
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, in May 2020, Dakore’s interview on the same Visual Collaborative platform was republished in the TwentyEightyFour series, along with interviews with the French musical group Les Nubians, the Japanese composer Rika Muranaka, and the Nigerian comedian Chigul.
