She rose to prominence as one half of the pop duo group, Chloe x Halle, with her sister Halle Bailey with with her debut single “Have Mercy,” which also served as the lead single for her debut album.

Early Life and Education
Chloe Bailey was born Chloe Elizabeth Thandie Bailey on July 1, 1998 in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
She has a younger brother, Branson Bailey, and a sister, Halle Bailey, who is also a singer and songwriter. She grew up in Mableton, Georgia, with her siblings before moving to Los Angeles in mid-2021.
Her parents, Doug and Courtney Bailey are both extremely encouraging. Her father, Doug Baily quit his job to take care of his two daughters. Chloe’s younger sister, Halle, has a charming younger brother.
She began her education in traditional settings before transitioning to homeschooling. When she was ten years old, her father taught her how to write songs.
Career
In Beyonce’s film ‘The Fighting Temptations,’ she made her acting debut. While in Georgia, she appeared in a few films as well as the well-known Disney television film, Let It Shine (2012).
At the ages of ten and eight, her father began teaching her and her younger sister, Halle, how to write songs. At the ages of 13 and 11, they launched a YouTube channel with a cover of Beyoncé’s “Best Thing I Never Had.“
They first performed as Chloe x Halle on this channel when they uploaded covers of pop songs. In April 2012, the duo made their talk show debut on The Ellen Show.
Bailey was cast as Jazlyn “Jazz” Forster on the TV show Grown-ish in 2018 after singing the series’ theme song “Grown.” The series premiere also included the song “The Kids Are Alright.” When her character graduated from college at the end of the fourth season, she left the show.
Bailey joined the cast of the horror film The Georgetown Project, directed by M. A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller, in November 2019.
She will also co-star in the 2022 psychological drama Jane with Madelaine Petsch.
Bailey announced the release of her debut solo single, “Have Mercy,” as the lead single from her upcoming debut solo studio album in August 2021.
She had previously teased the Murda Beatz-produced song. She revealed that the album is “90% done” and will be more pop-oriented.
Bailey performed “Have Mercy” at the main show of the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12.
Bailey was nominated for three NAACP Image Awards, including Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Soul/R&B Song for “Have Mercy.”
Bailey co-starred in Electric Easy, a musical neo-noir science fiction show set in a futuristic Los Angeles where humans struggle to co-exist with robots known as “electrics,” with Kesha and Mason Gooding in late August. Vanya Asher created the show, which Kesha executive produced. On August 30, 2021, the podcast debuted.
Bailey released “Treat Me” with an accompanying music video in April 2022 as the second solo single from her upcoming album.
She explained that the song was inspired by a breakup, when she realized, “‘It’s time for me to just give myself the love that I’m looking for.'”
Bailey is the lead in the soon about-to-be-released movie “The Georgetown Project”.

Chloe Bailey was rumored to be dating YSL rapper Gunna, which the rapper denied while stating that they do not have a romantic relationship. She was also linked to football player Memphis Depay.
Chloe was linked to Diggy Simmons in August of 2018. Diggy Simmons is her co-star on the show “Grown-ish.” Fans were overjoyed to see them together after seeing them kissing on a night out.
