Early Life and Education
Chiamaka Ugoo is from Amawbia, Awka South local government area of Anambra State, the south-eastern part of Nigeria.
She is the first child in a family of six: four boys and two girls born into the family of the late Chief Christopher Okwudili Okoye and Mrs. Helen Amaka Okoye.
Chiamaka had both her primary and secondary education in her hometown, Amawbia, Awka South, in Anambra State.
After her secondary education, she proceeded to the Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State, where she obtained a National Diploma (ND) in Public Administration.
She furthered her studies at the Institute of Management Technology, Enugu, where she completed her Higher National Diploma (HND) in Public Administration.
Career
Chiamaka Ugoo relocated abroad where she spent some years after her graduation before she returned to Nigeria to pursue a career in journalism.
She studied broadcast journalism at the National Broadcast Academy, Ikeja, Lagos State.
Chiamaka previously worked as an on-air personality at Kpakpando 101.9FM, a radio station in Anambra State.
She was the host of “Gwam Okwu (Talk To Me)” with Adadioranma, a popular show on Kpakpando 101.9FM where she discussed and analyzed issues concerning Nigerian politics and good governance.
Her zeal and passion for writing drove her to write her first book, “It Pays To Be Patient,” when she was 16.
During her HND program at the Institute of Management Technology, Enugu, Chiamaka published the lifestyle magazine “Romeo and Juliet.“
She is widely known for helping young girls with advice, motivation, and support in their respective endeavors.
With her gift, creativity, and experience, the beautiful author wrote a new book titled “HELPING HER WIN,” an inspirational book to help young women achieve their goals.
