Benjamin hails from Benin City, Edo State, where he grew up in a family immersed in the entertainment industry. His father, Benjamin Olaye Snr (BENJOF, the “Magic Feet Sensation”), produced the TV show Beat Wave, influencing his career path. He honed his skills at the Benin Film Academy, where he now teaches.
Career
Benjamin Olaye Jnr showed an early passion for entertainment, much like his father. He began writing stories during secondary school and drew inspiration from Nollywood legends Ramsey Nouah, Pete Edochie, and Sam Loco Efe.

His acting debut came with a supporting role in the 2017 film Esohe. In 2020, he won the Lancelot Imaseun 1897 Invasion monologue competition, marking the director’s 25 years in the industry. Benjamin stood out among 700 entries to claim the top prize.
This victory led to a role in Lancelot Imaseun’s For the Love of Isiuwa, filmed in Benin, Edo State. That same year, he appeared in Son of Mercy alongside stars like Gregory Ojefua, Alex Ekubo, and Kelvin Ikeduba.
