Born on 22 January 1992 in Garoua, North Region of Cameroon, Vincent Aboubakar was raised in a devout Christian family in a Muslim-majority city and his mother Maobeal Alice was a deaconess for the Evangelical Missionary Society of Cameroon.

Career
Aboubakar’s journey with the Cameroonian national team began at a young age, with his debut coming in 2010 at just 18 years old with him scoring his first goal later that year.
Throughout his career, he’s been a crucial part of the team, helping them achieve victories at major tournaments like the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, where his last-minute goal secured the championship.
After returning to Porto in 2017, he scored his first hat-trick for the club and even celebrated with his former Besiktas teammates after a Champions League loss. He continued scoring in the group stage, helping Porto progress. However, a serious knee injury in 2018 sidelined him for a long period.
In 2021, Aboubakar signed a big deal with Saudi club Al Nassr. However, in January 2023, his contract was terminated to free up a spot for Cristiano Ronaldo.
