Early Life And Education
Tope Adebayo was born on June 28, 1975 to his parents in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.
Tope graduated as the best student at Faculty of Law, University of Ado-Ekiti where he also served as the President of the Students’ Union.
Tope later proceeded to the University of Lagos where he obtained his LLM and also graduated as the best student.
In 2008, He won the Hoponu Wusu price for the best graduating student in LLM at the University of Lagos.
Tope is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a capital market consultant.
He has a very unique talent and he provides experienced management guidance in the firm’s operations.
Career
Tope began his legal career with the leading commercial law firm of Olaniwun Ajayi.
He developed proficiency in litigation, receivership, arbitration as well as project and corporate finance.
Tope later joined Afe Babalola & Co where he deepened his experience in litigation and arbitration practices.
Tope has participated in some of the most challenging cases in banking, finance, corporate law and commercial law.
He has also personally handled many cases in the superior courts of records in Nigeria including the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
Tope acted for and against multinational corporations including Shell BP, Chevron, Mobil and Pan Ocean Nigeria Ltd, at both Afe Babalola & Co and Olaniwun Ajayi,
He has also participated in disputes arising from company management and administration especially in the telecommunications industry.
Tope was one of the lawyers who represented the respondent in the case of UBA v. BTL, at Afe Babalola.
A case which recorded the payments of the highest amount in damages against a bank for negligent handling of Client’s transactions in our recent history.

Tope is married to Bisola Adebayo nee Akanji, and on the February 5, 2015,they welcome a new baby.
