Sophie Alakija was born into an Islamic family on February 7, 1994. She was born in Lagos and spent her childhood in Lagos.
Her mother is a Nigerian from the Efik tribe of Calabar in Cross River State and her father is a Lebanese.
Sophie has three siblings who are also well-known. Her eldest sister rose to prominence after facing allegations of adultery and bearing the child of controversial actor and politician Desmond Elliot.
Her older brother Mohammed maintains a low profile, whereas her younger brother Jay Rammal, also known as Golden Boy, is a model as well as actor signed to Kpcypress productions.
