Sergey Mikhaylovich, born August 21, 1973, better known as Sergey Brin, is a famous entrepreneur and computer scientist. Sergey Brin co-founded Google with Larry Page and it was launched in 1998. Sergey Brin met Larry Page at Stanford University, and the two collaborated on the development of a search engine that sorted web pages based on popularity.

Early Life and Education
Sergey Mikhaylovich Brin was born in Moscow, Russia, on August 21, 1973. Brin, the son of a Soviet mathematician economist, immigrated to the United States in 1979 to escape Jewish persecution.
Brin attended Stanford University after receiving his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Maryland at College Park.
There, he met Larry Page. Both students were working on their doctorates in computer science.
Career
Google’s Beginning
Brin and Page created a search engine that listed results based on the popularity of the pages as a research project at Stanford University, after concluding that the most popular result would often be the most useful.
To reflect their mission of organizing the vast amount of information available on the internet, they named the search engine Google after the mathematical term “googol,” which is a 1 followed by 100 zeros.
In 1998, the pair founded the company after raising $1 million from family, friends, and other investors. Google, headquartered in the heart of California’s Silicon Valley, went public in August 2004, making Brin and Page billionaires.
Since then, Google has grown to become the world’s most popular search engine, receiving more than a trillion searches per day on average in 2016.
Innovation and Expansion
Google paid $1.65 billion in stock in 2006 to acquire YouTube, the most popular website for user-submitted streaming videos.
Google Glass, a futuristic wearable eyeglass-computer with a touchpad and voice control, an LED illuminated display, and a camera, was unveiled in 2012.
While touted as the latest “it” in tech toys, concerns about privacy and safety, as well as a lack of a clear purpose in everyday life, ultimately stymied its commercial success. Its technology, on the other hand, has been used in healthcare, journalism, and the military.
Brin and Page announced on August 10, 2015, that Google and its divisions would be restructured under the umbrella of a new parent company called Alphabet, with Brin and Page serving as Alphabet’s president and CEO, respectively.
Brin was ranked No. 13 on Forbes’ “Billionaires” list in November 2016, and No. 10 among U.S. billionaires who made the list.
Early the following year, he made headlines for attending a protest against President Donald Trump’s immigration policies at San Francisco International Airport, though he declined to comment other than to say he was there “in a personal capacity.”
Brin and Page announced their departure from their day-to-day roles at Alphabet on December 3, 2019, though they were expected to remain involved in the company as its two largest individual shareholders.
Google will have revenue of $258 billion in 2021. The group’s divisions include Gmail, Android and YouTube.
Personal Life
Brin married 23andMe co-founder Anne Wojcicki in 2003, and they had two children. They did, however, divorce in 2015 after Brin had an affair with Google Glass marketing manager Amanda Rosenberg.
Brin married Nicole Shanahan, a lawyer and entrepreneur, in 2018. They also had a daughter late that year, though the news of their marriage and growing family wasn’t made public for several months.
The Google co-founder, filed for dissolution of marriage from wife four years, Nicole Shanahan back in early January of this year, according to court documents. He cited “irreconcilable differences,” as the basis for their divorce.
