Raphael Pichey Gavron, born June 24, 1989, better known as Rafi Gavron, is a prominent English-American actor. He appeared in supporting roles in the TV shows Life Unexpected (2010) and Godfather of Harlem as well as the movies Breaking and Entering (2006), Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist (2008), A Star Is Born (2018), and others (2019).

Early Life and Education
Rafi Gavron, the son of the late publisher Simon Gavron and the author Martha Pichey, was born in Hendon, London, England.
His father was British, while his mother is American. Gavron grew up in a North London Jewish home.
His paternal grandparents were sociologist Hannah Fyvel, who was born in Tel Aviv and died by suicide at the age of 29, and Robert Gavron, Baron Gavron, a British printing billionaire, philanthropist, and Labour Life Peer.
Tosco R. Fyvel, a writer who collaborated with George Orwell, was his great-grandfather.
Director Sarah Gavron is his half-aunt (and his father’s half-sister). Moses and Benjamin, Gavron’s younger siblings, were both born in 1992.
Gavron spent six months working as a volunteer at an Israeli kibbutz in 2008.
Career
Gavron did several challenging physical feats in the movie Breaking and Entering as the youthful burglar Miro, who employs parkour methods to break into the high-tech offices of an urban landscape design.
Gavron was nominated for his performance in the British Independent Film Awards’ Most Promising Newcomer category.
Gavron portrayed the hired killer Duro in HBO’s Rome’s second season. He also made an appearance as Dev, the gay lead singer of Nick’s band, in the 2008 film Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist.
Gavron played Farid, a miraculously revived figure from The Book of One Thousand and One Nights, in the movie Inkheart, which was based on the same-named book. The movie was presented in theaters in January 2009.
He appeared as Hamid Al-Zarian, the younger brother of a suspected terrorist, in a couple 24 episodes as a guest star.
In November 2011, he also made an appearance in JoJo’s music video for the song “Disaster.”
In the television show Life Unexpected, Gavron portrayed Bug (Bobby). He was picked to be Lux’s boyfriend and longtime buddy.
