Early Life and Education
Pastor John Elaigwu was born into the family of Mr Elaigwu Ekoja in Obagaji.
The Och’Idoma attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Benue State University in 1994.
He proceeded to earn a Master’s in Business Administration from Benue State University in 2012.
He also has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers Institute, an M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting from Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

Pastor John Elaigwu was crowned the Ochi’ Idoma, after the former, His Royal Highness (HRM) Elias Ikoyi Obekpa, passed away.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCITN), a Fellow Certified National Accountant of Nigeria (FCNA), and also an associate member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM).
Pastor John Elaigwu started his professional career with the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, where he worked for 23 years and gained promotion to the position of Assistant Director.
His Royal Majesty Elaigwu previously served as National Ex-officio of the same association from 2012 to July, 2018.
