Early Life And Education
Hailing from Umlazi, Durban, Okmalumkoolkat made a pivotal move to Johannesburg after college, where he joined forces with Doctor SpiZee to form the dynamic duo Dirty Paraffin. United by their passion for art, they embarked on various collaborative projects.

Okmalumkoolkat’s music journey began in 2012 with a collaboration on LV’s album “Sebenza” under Hyperdub. He was also featured on Zintle Mbekeli’s well-received single “Amakamera ang’shoote”, which led to a record deal with Affine Records.
In 2016, he released his debut album “Mlazi Milano”, supported by singles “Ntwana Yam'” and “Gqi”, followed by his debut EP “Holy Oxygen”. In 2019, he released singles “Amakamera Angshoote” and “Drip Siphi Iskorobho”, and his EP “Bhlomington” in 2020.
