Nnamdi John Okonkwo, born in 1965, is a Nigerian banker and the immediate past Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of Fidelity Bank Nigeria. He previously worked in the Chief Operating Officer position at the United Bank for Africa subsidiary in Ghana. Nnamdi Okonkwo has been in the banking industry for a couple of years, and served in different positions.
Okonkwo was also the Executive Director of the Commercial and Consumer Banking South Directorate.

Early Life and Education
Nnamdi Okonkwo was born and raised in the south-eastern part of Nigeria, to Igbo parents. He attended the University of Benin where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics.
He also obtained an MBA, in banking and finance from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Nigeria. Nnamdi Okonkwo also attended and graduated with the Advanced Management Program (AMP) of INSEAD, the business school of France.
Career
Nnamdi Okonkwo served as the Executive Director of the South Directorate at Fidelity Bank Nigeria. He was also the Executive Director of the Commercial and Consumer Banking South Directorate.
Prior to joining the bank, Okonkwo held the position of Chief Operating Officer at the United Bank for Africa subsidiary in Ghana.
He has held several banking positions, including the Managing Director and CEO of Fidelity Bank. His tenure ended on December 31, 2019.
