In a significant loss for Nigerian politics, Alhaji Yekini Adeojo, a distinguished leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Deputy National Chairman (South), has died.
He passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at his Iyaganku residence in Ibadan after a brief illness. Adeojo, who held the revered title of Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland and was the PDP’s first gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State in 1999, was buried according to Islamic rites.
