Nana Ama McBrown, originally named Felicity Ama Agyemang, was born on 15 August 1977 in Kumasi, Ghana.
Her parents, Cecilia Agyenim Boateng and Kwabena Nkrumah, divorced when she was young.
Due to her family circumstances, Nana Ama, along with her six siblings, found a new home with Kofi McBrown and her aunt, Madam Betty Obiri Yeboah, who became their guardians.
Growing up in Kwadaso, Kumasi, alongside her siblings, Nana Ama was nurtured by her aunt and adopted father, Kofi McBrown.
She deeply cherishes her aunt’s love and considers her as her “real mother,” acknowledging her for providing a stable and caring environment for them all.
