He lived in Santa Ana, CA with his family for two years before moving to Newark, NJ where Jordan grew up. He attended Newark Arts High School, where his mother worked as a teacher, and where he also played basketball.
Career
Before becoming a full-time actor, Michael B. Jordan tried modeling for companies like Toys “R” Us. He started acting in 1999 with small parts on shows like “Cosby” and “The Sopranos.” He got a bigger role in the movie “Hardball” with Keanu Reeves soon after.
