Early Life and Education
Max Kellerman was raised in New York City’s Greenwich Village neighborhood after being born in The Bronx.
He earned diplomas from PS 41 in Greenwich Village, New York City, Hunter College High School in 1991, and Columbia University in 1998.

In the past, he and Marcellus Wiley co-hosted the ESPNLA sports radio discussion show Max & Marcellus. From 2002 to 2004, Kellerman hosted the ESPN panel talk show Around the Horn.
From 2013 to 2016, he co-hosted the sports comedy talk show SportsNation with Wiley and Michelle Beadle.
Additionally, he co-commentated in the studio on Friday Night Fights with Brian Kenny and provided color commentary for HBO World Championship Boxing and Boxing After Dark.
Alongside Lampley and Merchant, who acted as the broadcast crew for the fight between Rocky and Mason “The Line” Dixon, Kellerman made a fleeting appearance in the 2006 movie Rocky Balboa.
As the reporter questioning Donnie Creed after his fight with “Pretty” Ricky Conlan, he would also feature in the 2015 movie Creed.
