Born on June 20, 1970, in Ho-Bankoe, Volta Region, Ghana, Kwami Sefa Kayi completed his secondary education at Okuapeman Secondary School in Akropong Akuapem.
Committed to furthering his education, he earned an Executive Master of Arts degree in Conflict, Peace, and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in 2018.
Career
Kwami Sefa Kayi started his broadcasting journey in 1996 as the first presenter on Radio Gold. He later joined Peace FM in 2000, where he took charge of the morning program “Kokrokoo,” quickly becoming one of Ghana’s most influential media voices.
He was the host of the inaugural Ghana Music Awards, a role he maintained until 2007, and co-hosted the 20th edition of the event with Berla Mundi in 2019.
In August 2021, he was appointed as a board member of the National Petroleum Authority, broadening his impact beyond the media industry.
