Born on 14 April 1964 in Botswana, Skefu spent her early years in Soweto, Gauteng, and later grew up in Bloemfontein with her grandparents.
She also spent time in Lesotho. She pursued higher education by graduating with a higher Diploma in Beauty Therapy from the University of St. Thomas in Texas, Houston.
Career
Skefu’s television career began in 1997 with the soap opera Muvhango, where she played the role of “Doris Mokoena,” earning her significant popularity and multiple award nominations.
In 1998, she made her film debut with the direct-to-video film Voete van Goud. In the early 2000s, she appeared in the AIDS drama series Phamokate. In 2015, she joined the cast of Scandal! as “Maletsatsi Khumalo,” a role she played for over 12 consecutive years.
