Early Life and Education
Chief Enyinna Nwigwe was born in Benue State on September 18, 1982. He is from Ngor Okpala in Imo State. He was raised with two sisters and a brother, by his parents, who are retired public servants. He is a graduate from the University of Calabar in Nigeria with a degree in economics. He speaks both Igbo and English.
Career
Enyinna started his career as an entrepreneur while in the university. While Enyinn was still studying back then he would organize fashion shows and did some model grooming.
His acting career happened by chance when he met veteran filmmaker and movie director, Jeta Amata while filming a movie in Calabar.
Enyinna cut his teeth in acting in 2004, when he featured in a movie titled “Wheel of Change”, taking on the role of a character named Tony.
Enyinna Nwigwe co-starred with veteran Nollywood actors and stars likes Desmond Elliot, Rita Dominic, Fred Amata, and Stella Damasus.
This movie was his stepping stone into the Nigerian Nollywood industry. He continued to have a good working relationship with movie director Jeta Amata and was featured in a couple of movies he directed.
Enyinna Nwigwe first appeared in front of an American audience and a global audience in 2012, when he played Tamuno in “Black November,” a political action thriller film about the Nigerian oil-rich region “Niger-Delta.”
He co-starred with Oscar winner Kim Basinger, Akon, Wyclef Jean, veteran actor Mickey Rourke, and renowned actress and producer Vivica A. Fox. Jeta Amata wrote and directed the film, which depicts human rights violations, corruption, and violence in Nigeria’s Niger Delta.
In 2016, Enyinna Nwigwe starred in one of Nolywood’s biggest movies, when starred as Nonso Onwuka in the blockbuster and classy movie, “The Wedding Party”. The movie got international attention and was premiered in the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on the 8th of September 2016.
The movie is one of the highest-grossing movies in Nollywood box-office history, grossing over N36 million in its opening three days and over N66 million in its first week.
Enyinna Nwigwe took on his most controversial role to date when he featured as gay pastor in the movie titled “Hell or High Waters” in 2016. The movie was written by Noni Salma and directed by Oluseyi Asurf.
Aside from acting, Enyinna Nwigwe is an entrepreneur, he deals in a variety of businesses. He considers himself a creative businessman, owning to his ability to transform an ordinary business into the next big thing.

On December 26, 2021, Enyinna was conferred with the title “Chi Turu Ugo 1’ (One Crowned by God) by the Logara community in Imo State, under the royal headship of HRH Felix I. Njoku, the Ogaraku II of Logara.
The commemoration, which took place before some prominent sons and daughters of Igbo land, came on the heels of the activities of the Enyinna Nwigwe Foundation (ENF), which the actor established to provide succor to less fortunate members of society.
Enyinna is not married and is currently single. He says he wants to get married but afraid of marrying the wrong person considering how rampant celebrity marriages are these days.
