Doris Burke, born April 11, 1965, is famous American sports announcer and analyst who is currently working for NBA on ESPN, NBA on ABC, College Basketball on ESPN, and College Basketball on ABC games. She has worked on New York Knicks games and previously worked as an analyst for WNBA games broadcast on MSG. Burke was the first female broadcaster for radio and television to announce a New York Knicks game.

Early Life And Education
Doris Sable was born on April 11, 1965. Her parents remained unknown in the eyes of social media.
She was born in West Islip, New York. At age 7, her family move to Manasquan, New Jersey, where she grew up, and she is the youngest of eight siblings.
She starts playing basketball at a very tender age when she was in the second grade.
The young New York native continued on to High School as a student athletes and she was was recruited by several eastern colleges after playing as a point guard at Manasquan High School.
She attended the Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island, where she obtain her bachelor’s degree in health service administration and social work.
She also worked hard to earn herself a master’s degree in education. She also received an honorary doctotatefrom her alma mater in 2005.
Career
Doris Burke started her broadcasting career when she was in college, she attended the Providence College in Providence Rhode Island and competed as a member of the Providence Friars women’s basketball team, for four years she played her role for them as a point guard, she finished her career with the total average of 12.1 points and 5.3 assists per game.
She led the East Conference in assists during her freshman year, she was two-times named to the All-Big East and Big East All- Tournament teams, in 1986 and 1987. She was also named the All-American in 1987. She was the college’s Co-female Athletes of the year.
She was honoured as the fifth woman in 1999, by the Providence College Hall Of Fame.
She was a all-time leader in assists with 602, when she left Providence and she was still second in the career category as of 2012.
Doris Burke started her broadcasting career in 1990 as an analyst for women’s games for her alma mater on radio she began working on Big East Women’s games on TV in the same year and in 1997 she worked for Big East men’s games.
She has worked for ESPN with different positions from 1991, she also work for the WNBA, the New York Liberty, ESPN’s men’s college basketball, the ABC and the NBA starting with the 2003-04 NBA season.
She became the first female commentator for a New York Knicks on radio and television in 2000. She also served as a sideline reporter for the NBA finals on ABC from 2009 to 2019.
Doris Burke was featured as the new sideline reporter for 2k Sport’s NBA 2k11 video game in 2010, she must appeared in each edition even the latest in the series, NBA 2K23.
She replaced Doug Collins and became a regular NBA game analyst for ESPN and also became the first woman at the national level to assigned a full regular-season role.
She has worked with Mike Breen, Mark Jones , Jeff Can Gundy, Mark Jackson, Marc Kestecher, Jon Baery, P.J Carlesimo.
And in 2022, worked with Beth Mowins in calling NBA game when the ESPN had an all-women broadcasting and production crew for the very first time on a national scale, she return with Mowins the following season during The International Women’s Day 2023.

Doris Sable was married to Gregg Burke the head golf coach at University of Rhode Island) and they divorced after she has two children for him.
However, Doris is now living a single life and is more focused on her children and her career and she is publicly not dating.

In 2003, she was award with the USA Today Rudy Award as the Best New Face in Sports Television.
As at 2004, she was honored with induction into the Institute for International Sport’s Scholar Athlete Hall of Fame.
