Early Life and Education
Berla Mundi comes from the Krobo ethnic group, part of the Ga-Adangbe community. She completed her secondary education at St. Theresa’s School and Achimota School in Accra. She then attended the University of Ghana, where she graduated with a degree in linguistics and psychology.
In addition, she studied French at Alliance Francaise and trained in journalism at the Ghana Institute of Journalism. She also earned a leadership certification from Harvard Business School Executive Education.
Career
Berla’s career in media began after she placed second runner-up in the 2010 Miss Maliaka beauty pageant, which opened doors for her in broadcasting.
She worked for about five years at GHOne TV (under the EIB Network) before moving to TV3 Ghana, part of Media General.
Over the years, she has hosted various shows including Rhythmz Live, Glitterati, The Late Afternoon Show, Miss Malaika, MTN Hitmaker, and the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), which she co-hosted six times consecutively. She also hosted Moment with Mo, Africa’s first syndicated show on DSTV.
Berla is a sought-after MC and event host, having led major events such as the Global Citizen Festival, Grammy Africa Nominee Brunch, and Gitex Africa.
