Early Life and Education
Asake Music was born in Lagos State, the South Western region of Nigeria to a Yoruba parents. He is originally from the Yoruba tribe.
He received Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater and Performing Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Asake also known as Mr Money spent most of his life in Lagos, where he pursue his career in music, against all odds.

He rose to stardom in 2020 following his freestyle “Lady” went viral, prompting a huge response from a number of well-known internet influencers including Broda Shaggi, Sydney Talker, Nasty Blaq, and others.
His journey into music was quite unexpected, as he began his career as a dancer in high school, performing with a variety of dance organizations and theatre companies before exploring music.
“Mr Money,” his debut single for 2020, re-emphasizes his confidence in himself and his commitment to his identity as he establishes himself as one of Nigeria’s fastest-rising talents.
He was nominated in three categories for the 2020 City People Music Awards, and he received two of the three nominations, including the title of Most Popular Song of the Year, for his hard work and perseverance.
Asake has also been on some of the most anticipated tunes of the year, including Broda Shaggi’s “Star” and DJ Xclusive’s “Gegeti.” On the remix for his 2020 smash track “Mr Money,” he partnered with Afrobeats great Peruzzi and Zlatan.
Asake Music teamed up with Nigerian afrobeat star and Grammy Award-winner, Burna Boy to deliver a hit song titled Sungba. He also with Olamide on the track Omo Ope.
