Early Life And Education
Alessandra Ambrosio was born on April 11, 1981 to Lucilda and Luiz Ambrosio.
She was born in Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, she has a younger sister Aline, she is of Italian and Polish descent.
Her paternal grandmother Joanna Eugenia Groch, imigrated from Poland and arrived in Brazil when she was little in 1929 and as at 2017 she was late at the age of 93.
At age 12 Alessandra was enrolled at a modeling class and as at the age of 14 was one of the 20 finalists for the 1995 Elite Model Look national competition for Brazil.
Career
Alessandra attended a modeling classes when she was 12 and she began to model for Dilson Stein when she was 15.
She competes in Brazil’s Elite Model Look competition which started her earnest in her modeling career.
Her first notable modeling job was shooting the cover of Brazilian Elle magazine.
She has appeared in advertising campaigns for Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, Renta, Christian Dior, Escada, Fendi, Armani, Moschino, Gap, Ralph Lauren and a lot others.
And she has also appeared in numerous international magazine covers, such as Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Vogue.
