Dayo Kujore born April 4, 1958, popularly known as Wonder Dayo Kujore, Wonder Dayo Kujore, was a popular Nigerian singer and songwriter.
He was one of the best Juju singers in Nigeria with a sonorous voice and strong fan base.
Early Life and Education
Dayo Kujore was born into the family of Michael and Esther Kujore in a village in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
He attended African church primary school for his elementary education and proceeded to African church secondary School for his secondary education both in Igboro in Abeokuta Ogun state.
After his post-elementary education, Kujore proceeded to Soba technical school in Ojuelegba, Lagos State where he trained as an engineer.
Career
Dayo Kujore started juju music while he was in the church choir after he was motivated by Joseph Oguntade to play Juju music.
Joseph Oguntade used to perform at the African church in Igboro during the harvest festival to play Juju music.
Dayo Kujore began his own band in 1976 after he released his first album “HA JESU BE AND E BA MI JIJO DAYO” in 1977.
The prolific juju singer released his second album “Eje ka sere ife” under the imprint of Skylark Record.
