Early Life and Education
Yolanda Nyembezi was born and raised in the village of Sea View, Bizana. She attended Nongeke S.S.S and graduated cum laude in vocal pedagogy from the Tshwane University of Technology in 2016. After graduation, she worked at the Gauteng Opera and began recording cover songs.
Career
Yallunder began her professional music career by recording cover songs in 2016. She gained prominence after signing with 1020 Cartel, releasing her EP Uthando Lwam in November 2020.
She collaborated on iSambulo, which was released on August 28, 2020. In May 2022, she signed with The Vth Season and released her single “Emaphupheni Am”.
In June 2023, she established her own record label, Masani Music, and announced her debut studio album Kum, released on August 4, 2023. The lead single “11:11 Makukhanye” was released on June 9, 2023.
Recently, she released “Imali” featuring Mpho.Wav and Kenza on October 26, 2023. She has also collaborated with Kelvin Momo on several tracks for his album Sewe in 2024.
